Knowledge is power. The power to take charge of your own health. The power to feel confident in your ability to traverse the somewhat confusing world of health and nutrition. The exciting (and sometimes frustrating) thing about this field is that what we currently know is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much we do not yet know about the human body and how it is affected by diet, exercise, lifestyle and the environment.

I encourage you to never stop learning. And never trust anyone who tells you that they know it all….no one does. Exciting, right?

Below you will find some of my favourite resources. They are divided into categories so you can choose your favourite method of learning. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to join me deep down in the rabbit hole of nutrition…

Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day to sit down and read everything we want to in a day. That’s where podcasts come in. Load them up on your iPhone/Android/listening device of choice and take them wherever you go. Why not learn while you are commuting to and from work, or lying on the beach, or going for a leisurely stroll? Here are my favourites:

(Yes, I like podcasts)

Good old, hard copy, feel the pages at your fingertips, books. I’m old-school in that I like to hold an actual book. What about you? I’m sure, if you’re technology inclined, you could probably find most of these on your Kindle/e-reader, too.

  • Beauty From The Inside Out, Dr Libby Weaver
  • The Hormone Cure, Sara Gottfried
  • Natural Fertility, Francesca Naish
  • Garden of Fertility, Katie Singer
  • Nourishing Traditions, Sally Fallon
  • Practical Paleo, Diane Sanfilippo
  • Wild Fermentation, Sandor Katz
  • Your Personal Paleo Code, Chris Kresser
  • Deep Nutrition, Cate Shanahan
  • I Quit Sugar, Sarah Wilson
  • Autobiography of a Yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda
  • Twilight, Stephenie Meyer (just checking if you’re still here! HA!)

I will continue to add to this list over time, so stay tuned!

I found your more recent blog post interesting and just wanted to touch base. Sometimes I feel a though I am on that track and was curious about how you slowly got to where you did.

    Hi Kate,
I’ve only recently found your website/blog/facebook page etc and i’ve been reading up on all of your information, which is amazing and so factual. Do you have a list of great websites, articles, books or other resources that I can read to educate myself more on healthy eating?
    Thanks, Jacqueline 🙂
